I have suffered for years from what I would call minor allergies. I only have sneezing and congestion occasionally. My typical symptoms are drainage, creating a pesky cough and discomfort in the throat. As part of my effort to explore homeopathic remedies for various health issues, I decided to try some of the Allergena made by Progena.

Allergena is made for specific regions of the country. You choose the mix designed to provide allergy relief for the specific area where you live. I had mentioned the product to my friend Wendy one day while we were talking about her use of the Ibupro product made by Progena in her business as a licensed massage therapist. Although she had been using the Ibupro for a week or so at the time it had just clicked that she had been a satisfied customer of Progena products for years. Every time she noticed her allergies kicking in she started using zone 6 Allergena. She said the stuff worked great.

I’ve only been using it now for about a week and a half. The concept of homeopathy generally means that results are slow in coming. Time is needed for the ingredients to work through your immune system. However, in my case I noticed a definite decrease in my sinus drainage in just a few days. I’m not even a good patient. The directions call for 2 to 3 doses per day. Some days I forget completely, and I don’t think I have ever used it three times in one day. As I write this almost two weeks after beginning use of the Allergena my sinuses are dry as a bone, a rare occurrence for me.

I’ll do another follow up post in a month or so and let you know how it has worked. It seems like it is going to be a very safe and cost effective solution for my allergy relief at this point.
